image descriptions
All images should be free of any logos, identifiable landmarks, other people, excessive color tones, and lens flare. The focal point of the image should be the model, not the environment (ie, the model should take up most of the image). Backgrounds should be plain, or, be far out of the focal plane with a fair amount of bokeh, unless the background dramatically enhances the image (ie, model coming out of a pool with hand on rail and pool water around model; model sitting in classic car with hand on a wooden steering wheel, etc).
face direct to camera, or slightly turned, should appear fresh, natural looking, well lit, clearly show model’s face, be free of hats, items that hide the face, no artistic or creative focus points
daily wear clothes; jeans, shorts, t-shirts, skirts, dresses, etc., natural hair, basic make-up; advertisement or catalog or editorial in tone, no visible logos
lingerie or bikini for women, athletic/casual swimwear for men; or elegant “fashion” swimwear, some accessories, slightly more glamourous hair/makeup
business suits; cocktail dresses, ballgowns, “high fashion”; elegant hair, makeup and accessories
exhibit model’s skill (ballet, fitness, etc); or surreal hair and makeup; show a goofy or acting side; can have interesting post-production applied, be creatively shot, as long as model’s look is clear.
